Web Forms are a convenient way to gather data from external users.

Very handy for embedding in a website to use as a contact form, etc.

To create a web form, simply go to any table, and select Web Forms from the … menu.

Then either select an existing form if you’ve already created one, or click on the Create New Form button.

From here you can configure the attributes of your form.

• Allowed Domains - VERY IMPORTANT. To prevent unauthorized embedding, you need to specify which domain(s) you will be embedding the form in. Don’t include the protocol - just the domain name, eg mydomain.com
• HTML Header - any header you may want to include
• Custom CSS - if you want to tweak the look & feel of the form
• Fields - choose the fields that will be displayed on the form (hint: skip internal fields)
• Redirect URL - when the form is submitted, if you want the user to be redirected, enter the URL here
• Submit Message - when the form is submitted and you don’t want the user to be redirected (see above option), enter the message they should receive here.

After saving the form, you will get the HTML code to embed on your website, as well as a link to the form directly in InfoLobby in case you just want to send it via email or paste it into a Slack chat, etc.

When users fill out this form, it will generate a new record in the underlying table.
